Dienes
Personal Experience
Dienes got into barbering because it was in his family genes. Coming from three generations of barbers who are deeply passionate about the craft, it’s no wonder that he followed in his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps.
He says “Barbering is an Art. It has no limit. Every day I learn new things”
Barbering has been part of Dienes’ life for as long as he can remember.
His journey began in his village, travelling alongside his father, a barber for many years, watching him work, observing the discipline, patience, and quiet confidence that the craft demands. At just 10 years old, his father placed a pair of scissors in his hands. That moment of trust and belief shaped not only his skillset, but his sense of responsibility toward the craft.
What began as childhood exposure became a lifelong calling.
Professionally, Dienes has been in the field since 2011, with over 15 years of hands-on experience rooted in early training from a young age. He joined Jermyn Street on 13 January 2020, bringing with him both heritage and refinement.
Beliefs & Methodology
Dienes believes barbering is a timeless skill, one that can survive anywhere in the world. But more importantly, he understands its deeper impact. A single haircut has the power to transform more than appearance. It can elevate confidence, presence, and personality. The moment a client looks into the mirror and smiles, that quiet shift is what continues to drive him.
His favourite styles are flat tops and skin fades, cuts that demand precision, structure, and clean execution. He is drawn to sharp lines and controlled detailing, creating modern looks tailored to each individual.
Dienes’ approach to grooming is deeply personalised. He considers hair texture, head shape, face structure, lifestyle, and how frequently a client maintains their haircut. For him, a great style is not just about how it looks on day one, it must grow well, suit the client’s routine, and remain practical between visits.
Outside the barbershop, Dienes is actively involved in a yoga organisation, where he helps coordinate meetings and activities. He enjoys learning new skills, exploring new ideas, and values intentional rest, understanding that balance is essential to sustained performance.
A quote he lives by:
“To reach heaven, you need to go through hell.”
For Dienes, mastery, whether in life or barbering, comes through discipline, resilience, and overcoming challenges. Every setback refines skill. Every difficulty builds character. And every haircut is an opportunity to uphold that standard.

Why is the music of Dean Martin subtly playing in the background? What’s the story behind the Frank Sinatra mugshot and the nostalgic photos in our waiting room? They are common questions, with the most simple of answers: We haven’t forgotten our roots.
